Well, not like you learn French or Italian or something, but more like great sayings. I at least need to learn French and Italian before I learn Latin.

One is called, in English translation, “The stinky dog.” The book is all in Latin. It’s about a dog with a flatulence problem.
Another is a Latin version of The Cat in the Hat.
Another is a comic about Roman soldiers. It’s not the popular French one about Vercingetorix.

I know I’m posting about an eon too late, but…
Since Latin is the mother language of Italian and French—two languages you say you want to learn (and Spanish, a language on your list)—it really is three for the price of one.
Don’t worry about getting too deep into Latin for the results to help you out. Just learning some of the basic verb structure and vocabulary will put you well on your way to coping with other Romance languages.
