Spyrunner I can't seem to give away all my cheers

first

1. Do you have a favorite book or read much?
I don’t read a book a second time.

2. Would you rather be rich or healthy?
I’ve been healthy. I would like to try being filthy rich for a while.

3. Do you prefer card games or board games?
Board games generally. Ticket to Ride (Europe) and Settlers of Catan are the ones we play the most right now.

4. What type of music do you listen to? (Genre, artists, songs?)
New age, rock

5. If you had unlimited money for one week, how would you spend it?
I would buy a bigger house.

6. What is the most beautiful place you’ve ever seen?
Niagara falls and Yellowstone.

7.If someone asked you to give them a random piece of advice, what would you say?
Don’t forget about the future.

8. What’s the funniest movie you’ve ever seen?
Probably Airplane.

9. Would you rather be invisible or be able to read minds?
I plead the fifth.

10. Should marijuana be legalized? Why or why not?
It should be legal. It’s safer than alcohol.

Collectorofcats can hardly wait for the asparagus to pop up so it will be truly Spring

1. Do you have a favorite book or read much? Not a favorite book. I cant reread books without boredom setting in if I read it recently. I do have favorite authors and genres.
2. Would you rather be rich or healthy? I’d rather be healthy but wealthy enough to insure I can stay that way.
3. Do you prefer card games or board games? I enjoy both equally.
4. What type of music do you listen to? (Genre, artists, songs?) I love classic rock from the 60s, 70s and 80s
5. If you had unlimited money for one week, how would you spend it?
As long as here were no strings attached:
  • Make donations to several worthy local charities.
  • Purchase all the materials needed to update our rental houses like carpeting, lumber, paint, etc.
  • I’d get that iphone I’ve been wanting,
  • Get all my credit cards paid off
  • Have my car detailed and ready to sell.
  • Buy a Ford Escape or other 4 wheel drive vehicle.
  • Purchase an electric golfcart or other electric vehicle for driving around our small city(everyone else does).
  • Make donations to several worthy local charities.
  • Get a hair/wardrobe makeover.
  • Purchase a good hoola hoop so I can start hooping into shape.
  • Take daughter/granddaughter clothes shopping.
  • Buy those sketchers twirling shoes my granddaughter wants.
  • Also that pillowpet nightlight.
  • Buy my husband a new recliner.
This list is endless. I’d be looking for stuff to spend money on in the time allotted. Wouldn’t anyone?

6. What is the most beautiful place you’ve ever seen? Not so much the most beautiful place but when we lived in the country, I loved to look west across the road just after the sun set. There silhouetted against the sky I could see trees and an old windmill. My front porch was my favorite place to be at that time.
7.If someone asked you to give them a random piece of advice, what would you say? I’d tell him or her “never give up. Eventually you will be an expert at failure and can eventually move on. It works for me.”
8. What’s the funniest movie you’ve ever seen? Not sure. Maybe a toss up between The birdcage and Animal House.
9. Would you rather be invisible or be able to read minds? I’ve tried invisibility. I think I’d like to read minds.
10. Should marijuana be legalized? Why or why not? Yes, it should. It is no worse then tobacco. I consider tobacco the main gateway drug and those who smoke tobacco/drink alcohol and are against the legalization of marijuana hypocrits.

My favourites are The Mists of Avalon by Marion Bradley, The Baroque Trilogy by Neal Stephenson, by the Light of my Fathers smile by Alice Walker, Tipping the velvet by Sarah Waters, All about love by Bell Hooks,The Shipping News by Annie Proulx, The Wind-up Bird Chronicles by Haruki Murakami…. or anything Ali Smith writes.

I’d buy lots of property (a home & some land to grow veggies) & a van & lots of tools (oh i’ve always wanted a chainsaw!) I’d book a holiday to visiy my little brother in Australia & another hiloday for me &him to go to Colombia. I’d buy really nice socks.

A litte place by a stream in Spiddle

Beware people who try to give you advice

Little Miss Sunshine, Goodbye Lenin

Invisible

I don’t care either way wether its legalised.
I’d be very surprised if it isn’t . In this economic climate Governments will be looking for new sources of revenue through taxes . Also passive, spineless & stoned citizens are easier to manage/manipulate.

SimplicityInTheLBC "Energy and persistence conquer all things." - Ben Franklin

1. Do you have a favorite book or read much?
I read constantly and am pretty much never without a book. I’ve read Heinlein’s Podkayne of Mars probably a hundred times; I guess I’d call that one my favorite.

2. Would you rather be rich or healthy?
If I’m not healthy, I can’t enjoy being rich, now can I? :)

3. Do you prefer card games or board games?
We have some awesome board games that I love. But card games are more portable, so it depends on what the situation is. Generally I prefer board games.

4. What type of music do you listen to? (Genre, artists, songs?)
According to my iTunes, my biggest genres are alternative/rock and electronic; I also like showtunes and jazz. I’d say my favorite artists are Green Day, The Streets, and Air. I really dig ambient music for reading.

5. If you had unlimited money for one week, how would you spend it?
First I would pay off all my debt. Then I’d spend the rest of my week traveling, seeing places, people and performances.

6. What is the most beautiful place you’ve ever seen?
Bondi Beach in Australia was fantastic. The walnut grove farm I stayed at on tour in Colorado was also rather spectacular, especially at night when you could see a bajillion stars in the sky. The Grand Canyon is pretty awesome too.

7.If someone asked you to give them a random piece of advice, what would you say?
Very few people are talented enough to get away with being difficult to work with. Cultivate both your work skills and your relationship skills, and above all, create an impeccable work ethic for yourself.

8. What’s the funniest movie you’ve ever seen?
Waiting For Guffman, which is not funny unless you’ve done community theater.

9. Would you rather be invisible or be able to read minds?
Invisibility seems more…functional? I don’t think I want the ability to read minds.

10. Should marijuana be legalized? Why or why not?
Yes, mostly because I’m tired of my tax dollars going to fund prisons full of people who have committed drug “crimes” like possession. If marijuana is regulated like alcohol (in that those who use it irresponsibly are prosecuted), I see no issue with its use in polite society.

gottawonder Loves her tortoise!

1. Do you have a favorite book or read much?

It’s pretty tough to narrow it down to one favorite book, but I love Joe Haldeman, Neil Gaimon, Christopher Moore, and Terry Pratchett as authors, just off the top of my head. Yes, I read lots.

2. Would you rather be rich or healthy? Healthy, because that doesn’t mean I have to be poor either. There’s not much point in being wealthy if you’re in pain, or unable to do much physicaly.

3. Do you prefer card games or board games? Depends on the card game and the board game.

4. What type of music do you listen to?
(Genre, artists, songs?)

Just about anything.

5. If you had unlimited money for one week, how would you spend it?

I would invest a lot of it in tangible things I could use later, like a good car, lawn mower, fabulous sheets, and appliances. I might buy a really nice horse, a great canoe for my husband, and some tools. I wouldn’t buy a huge house, because I wouldn’t have the money to maintain it later. I would pay off all of our debt, and if I had time, pay for a reasonable home on our acreage. I would pay off everyone’s debt among my family and friends.

If it isn’t cheating, I would buy a lot of valuable things like jewellry that I could sell again later.

I wouldn’t spend the week travelling or what have you, because I’ll do that later when I sell off the jewels. It would take a lot of time to arrange for paying off mortgages etc.

6. What is the most beautiful place you’ve ever seen?

Probably Muir Woods National Park, or Yellowstone National Park.

7.If someone asked you to give them a random piece of advice, what would you say?

Live to make yourself happy.

8. What’s the funniest movie you’ve ever seen?

Happy Texas, Cabin Boy, The Adventures of Baron Von Munchhousen, Three Amigos.

9. Would you rather be invisible or be able to read minds?

Read minds, but only if I chose to.

10. Should marijuana be legalized? Why or why not?

No. A lot of people say it’s pretty harmless, but I think to the wrong people it is still a huge impediment. We can live without it. Instead of prison time, people arrested for possession should simply have to show up for community service (a fine is too easy for most people), and make it not fun. Like working in a recycling depot, a homeless shelter, or cleaning up highways.

1. Do you have a favorite book or read much?
I too don’t read the same book twice (though I found myself doing so yesterday with Bridget Jones’s Diary: The Edge of Reason) but my favorite is Ian Coburn’s God is a Woman... we’re even Facebook friends and he once thanked me for mentioning the book on there :)

2. Would you rather be rich or healthy?
Healthy.

3. Do you prefer card games or board games?
Board games!

4. What type of music do you listen to? (Genre, artists, songs?)
I’m an ‘80s girl, favorite being glam rock.

5. If you had unlimited money for one week, how would you spend it?
I’d go on a ridiculously lavish holiday.

6. What is the most beautiful place you’ve ever seen?
Paris, France

7.If someone asked you to give them a random piece of advice, what would you say?
That if what troubles them today will not trouble them in a year, then it shouldn’t trouble them today.

8. What’s the funniest movie you’ve ever seen?
That’s a difficult one – perhaps Team America

9. Would you rather be invisible or be able to read minds?
Read minds.

10. Should marijuana be legalized? Why or why not?
Meh, doesn’t make a difference in my life.

littlesoul dark is......satisfying!

Aw I loved “Dumb and Dumber” it made me laugh so much. Just yesterday i watched “Ella Enchanted” with my daughters we laughed our pants off!

9. Would you rather be invisible or be able to read minds?
Read minds definitely! i’m useless at working out what people actually think and mean so this is bound to come in handy…being invisible would be good too though!

9. Would you rather be invisible or be able to read minds? read minds

10. Should marijuana be legalized? Why or why not? it shouldnt be legalised, in my opinon, with serious “addiction”, it just seems to kill all ur brain cells… however im ok with the odd social spliff tho

Ally's 10!

1. Do you have a favorite book or read much? I have many favorite books. I don’t read as much as I would like, because I fall asleep when I start to read. It’s pathetic.
2. Would you rather be rich or healthy? Healthy, I guess. You had better be rich if you get sick in the U.S.
3. Do you prefer card games or board games? Card games usually.
4. What type of music do you listen to? (Genre, artists, songs?) Lots – rock, hip hop, bluegrass, Americana, funk, gospel, jazz…pretty much anything, except I haven’t acclimated to death metal or that sort of music yet.
5. If you had unlimited money for one week, how would you spend it? I would pay off my house, stuff money into my retirement fund, put money into my son’s currently nonexistent college fund, pay off my parents’ homes and buy long term care for my parents, put a big downpayment on a house for my brother (the only one who doesn’t already own one), make some big donations, and buy a trip visiting lots of places around the world.
6. What is the most beautiful place you’ve ever seen? Hmmm…very hard to choose. Maybe walking behind El Sapo waterfall in Canaima, Venezuela. Or the west coast of Ireland, Big Sur in California, or La Perouse or the road to Hana on Maui.
7.If someone asked you to give them a random piece of advice, what would you say? 1. Take risks in life while you can. 2. Try to find a career that gives you joy. 3. Don’t let other people define you. 4. Don’t be a dick.
8. What’s the funniest movie you’ve ever seen? Sheesh, too many. I’m going to say Young Frankenstein.
9. Would you rather be invisible or be able to read minds? Neither, either one would just make me worry too much about what other people were thinking, doing, or saying. I try hard enough not to care about that.
10. Should marijuana be legalized? Why or why not? Medical marijuana, yes, absolutely. Torn on recreational marijuana, because the attitude I see from people who use it is that it is just fine, all natural, blah blah, and no one takes the potential for addiction or the fact that you are actually intoxicated seriously. That is probably the biggest obstacle in my mind towards legalizing recreational use. I would like people to take it seriously.
