August 2012: Lazy Bones Triathlon (read all 2 entries…)
This is a challenge...

...that is happening at the gym that I attend. The distances are the same as the Ironman Triathlon, but, instead of doing the challenge in one strenuous day, we have a whole month to complete the distances. I think it’s a great challenge because it envolves three separate exercises, which will help shock the body instead of getting used to just doing one type of workout. It’s also a great challenge for me because it’s doable but I have to be disciplined to complete it. I’ve been going to the gym and swimming laps lately, but I haven’t really incorporated anything else into my workouts yet. The challenge starts on Wednesday August 1st and runs till the end of August on the 31st.

Here are the distances:

Swimming – 2.4 miles (3.9 km) or 169 pool lengths

Biking – 112 miles (180.25 km)

Running/Walking – 26.2 miles (42.2 km)

Interesting Idea!

I’ve watched triathlon competitions on TV, they’re intense…but over a one month period sounds pretty interesting. I wish I could attempt, but first I need to learn how to swim…lol…I hope you’ll go for it! Cheers~
