paint illuminated letters

I love the Book of Kells. I have a book of outlines of illuminated letters and it would be fun to trace them onto decent paper and fill them in with gouache. I could frame them and give them as presents.

Did you see the treasures exhibition at the National library? I think they showed it there, it was amazing. I managed to see the exhibition when there was no queue at all, and a few weeks later it was so popular you had to phone up to book a spot in line.
