I'm teaching...

myself the capitals of the world. Each night I learn two capital cities. I’ve gone throgh Europe, the Middle East, and most of Asia. I’m moving onto North America and South America next.

I used to be embarassed by my geographical knowledge. I simply had no interest in it before. But no more. Now that I’m focused on exploring the world, I want to know everything about it. Knowing where everything’s located is a great start.

for learning geography...

If you can find a puzzle that is a map, it’s a great way to learn geography. I put 500 pieces worth of Netherlands together recently.

If you do some craft like cross stitch, cross stitching a map has a similar effect: look at the details of the map long enough and you’re gonna remember stuff :)

Also, of course, travel is a great way to learn about geography.
