signora oye vey to hell with perfect
Before I came to GBG I’d heard that getting a job here is hard, made harder if one (like myself) doesn’t speak Swedish. True, and true. I’ve spent the last two months hard at work sending out my CV, drafting letters of application that underscore my strengths as they apply to this or that potential job, and making phone calls to inquire about the needs of various businesses and schools. Wow, it’s been exhausting, mentally and spiritually.
Finally I got a job offer yesterday. Wow, what a relief. Training and meetings start today.
I was a work-a-holic when I lived in Denmark a few years ago, but that was all basically self-employment and under-the-table money, so it never involved an offer of employment. Finally I’m nordic-legit. :)
