Every year, I make plans to see this performance during the holidays and I NEVER make it to the show. I’m always working. Work, work, work, work! I’m in retail so I guess it should come as no surprise that I have no life during the holidays, but darn it! I’m going to see this show this year! No BS-ing around either! This December, I’m going to see the Nutcracker Ballet!!!

EVERYBODY performs this ballet during the holidays. The music is great and the performance can be too, but you should try to find the best. Find the one with the best (most professional) orchestra and the highest production values. If you are going to go , make it worth it.
Get a dress: I bet if you buy a brand new outfit just to go to the performance, you will make damn sure you go.

I’ve found a number of performances here, but there is one being hosted by the largest theater company in my area. That’s the one I’m planning to attend. I’m aiming for sometime in December near the Christmas holiday, and to be sure I go this year. Years past I waited, and waited, and waited, and waited, and then ultimately said I’d go the following year. I’ve also paid to rent a tux for me and a dress for my date. I’ve saved $500 for tickets, only awaiting them to go on sale and it’s a done deal.

which city you are in and which company you choose to go watch. There are so many performances to choose from, but I usually go watch whichever one my son is performing with or the best performance we can find if he isn’t it in this year. This year we shall go see the “school performance” that his friend is in with a different ballet company than my son’s company.
I’m going to see the performance at the Fox Theater in the city. The performance itself is done by the Atlanta Ballet company. I make plans to go every year, but never do for different reasons.

Yuma, AZ and my oldest son dances ballet at Arizona Classical Ballet. His friend dances at the competition in Yuma- Ballet Yuma. My son has previously danced at another local company- Yuma Ballet Theater. All are just small local companies.
Atlanta Ballet sounds exciting! Do they have any Russian dancers there?
