Am I thin Yet? It seems like I’m throwing a huge amount of time and effort at losing weight, but not seeing much of a result. The reality is, I’m losing at a fairly brisk 1.5 pounds per week, I’m only a couple of days behind schedule if that, and my diet and exercise program feels pretty sustainable. I just need to stay on track and I’ll get there.

Having that one day last week of having an “overweight” BMI of 30, instead of an obese one, felt really good. Another half pound and I’ll be back there. After all, I’ve been carrying this extra weight around for over ten years. I haven’t even been on my diet for ten weeks yet. In less than ten months (hopefully more like another five) I’ll be down to a normal BMI. I just need to make these new habits permanent!

Update: I went more than a little over my calorie count today. I got a terrible case of the munchies, rather than actual hunger, which I satisfied with an entire box of fat and sugar free pudding, prepped with nonfat milk and topped with light whipped cream. At least I didn’t go too nuts at the grocery store considering the sea of temptations there. I hope I don’t go back up to 181 or higher tommorrow morning!
