Sort of as a lark, I set a goal to complete my first draft by Doomsday (Dec. 21, 2012). I figure I’ll need about 110K words, so once I revise, I’ll end up with a typical novel size. I’m almost halfway, so to complete the goal, I have to write an average of 450 words a day. Totally doable.
