Hello menstral bloat. I’m up a pound and a half today. I’ m pretty sure it’s water weight, since this isn’t my first period on this diet. Last time, I magically lost 1.5 pounds on the first menstral day, regained it on the second, and then lost it by the third. Hopefully, this cycle will have a similar pattern.
I did let myself have an extra smoothie last night, which took me over my diet goal by about 250 calories. I thought the comfort food would make me feel better, but it didn’t make much difference as I wasn’t actually hungry, I just felt crampy and weirdly empty.
The box of fat free and sugar free pudding I made for a dessert earlier did help. I used slightly less milk to make it a bit thicker. I wasn’t really all that hungry for that either, I just had a massive sweet craving. It’s weird how the complex interaction of hormones causes all these mental as well as physical changes. I’ll have to remember the pudding trick for my next cycle, as it worked last time, too.
