We have our venues!!!
The Catholic Church is definitely a YES. So that’s all set. We went for mass a few weeks back and it is pretty nice inside. Not amazing… but not super modern or tacky. Plus we really enjoyed the service. I’m hoping that in the next year, going to church and my confirmation, will give us a real sense of connection to the church and with the priest.

Then for the reception venue… we did loads of research and made a shortlist of about 7 places. We visited them and decided on Hanbury Manor. They had our date available and was good value for money (expensive but about the same as the other locations, but with a lot of extras). I could really see everyone enjoying themselves there, which is really important to us.

On the downside, I’ve been having tons of horrible wedding dreams. Everyone is at the venue but I wasn’t expecting them and nothing is ready. lol. Eleven months to go!
