I had been having a hard time doing this run, since I kept trying to do it with limited water on hot days, without gels, because I’m an idiot. I broke it into 3 x four mile loops, and I brought a peanut butter and a strawberry banana gu to mix so it would be like a PB&J sandwich, I bought a fuel belt and drank a ton of water (refilling at the ends of each loop), and I had a friend ride next to me on a bike. I DID IT! And it wasn’t terrible, it was actually pretty fun, since I didn’t feel like I was dying from lack of water! I could actually do this thing!
