What was the best thing that you were able to get in this summer?
I got married. Everything – the wedding weekend and the honeymoon – went so well. It was definitely the highlight of my summer.

What was the biggest thing that you wanted to get in this summer but were not able to?
Everything else. LOL! The wedding pretty much consumed my whole summer. There were so many other things, both practical and fun, that I had wanted to do this summer but simply did not get to.

I did a lot of biking this year, some canoeing, and actually made an effort in the garden.

I got some projects done outside, planted a bunch of trees and rosebushes, and I wasn’t working this summer, so instead of spending every day indoors, I was outside a lot more.

I also got home to a family wedding, and went to the lake and made a sandcastle.

We are on the verge of getting a small barn built, everything’s set up as far as the order and the finances, it just has to happen. It’s scheduled to happen in the next two weeks-ish.

I didn’t get to go camping, but that’s no surprise. We have a lot to get done on my husband’s days off, and these days, almost all of our vacation time is spent visiting family.

What was the biggest thing that you wanted to get in this summer but were not able to?

The sun!
I was hoping for a bit of sun this summer… but it was largely marred by thick cloud and 2.5 months of constant rain.

of my summer was the trip I took with my family. My biggest disappointment was only getting two weeks off at a time, and not three.

What was the best thing that you were able to get in this summer?
First half of the summer I was constantly on the go. Doing things with friends, floating in the pool, went to a concert. Took a quick vacation with my son.

What was the biggest thing that you wanted to get in this summer but were not able to?
Get out to California to see my friend and meet up with some 43Ters

Summer is still here! But I’ll answer the question with what has transpired so far, Celtic Christian.

Best Thing: Going “back home” with my husband and enjoying the county fair with my family.

Missed Thing: Taking a canoe or rowboat on the little lake. I have this on my list every summer. But there are still several weeks left and there are some open spots on the calendar.

I’ve had a pretty great summer. The best part was Santorini and Mykonos. It was my first time visiting either.

This is the first summer in a few years that I didn’t have any concerts on the agenda. Granted, I’m very particular with gigs so I wouldn’t go just for the sake of going.
