21-Day Meditation Challenge

1st Day:
Me and my family were in a hotel, ready to leave for Arizona in the morning. We went to sleep and after I was pretty sure my father and sister were asleep, I sat up. I meditated for about twenty minutes, but I had to direct my attention back to my breathing a couple times because of the noises of the air conditioning and my sleeping family. Then I went to sleep.

2nd Day:
Not so good. I was in a hotel again, so I was constantly distracted. To make it worse, my father was still awake messing with our hiking plans. Tonight I meditating laying down, so he wouldn’t notice me.After about five minutes into the meditation, I fell asleep. Definently not the best meditation I’ve ever done. :/

3rd Day:
Ugh, not good at all. I had just finished up doing a stargazing class (I wished on three shooting stars x3) so I was very tired. I had trouble staying up for my meditation, but managed to fit in ten minutes.

4th Day:
I meditated laying down again tonight. I was wide-awake and starting to get used to the noises of the hotel, so I meditated for twenty minutes without getting distracted very often. I also attempted a lucid dream, but ended up completely failing.

5th Day:
I did an okay meditation. I constantly had to focus my thoughts on my breathing, though. I meditated for about fifteen minutes.

6th Day:
I was exhausted after watching the sunset in Arizona, so I didn’t meditate very well. I managed to fit in ten minutes before falling asleep.

8th Day:
I’m pretty sure that after two minutes, I fell asleep. Probably my worst so far. ._.

9th Day:
I meditated laying down (like I’ve done every night so far except the first). I started the meditation only after I had finished my relaxation method (I do this every night, I just never mentioned it. I tell myself that I will fall into a deep sleep when I get to the number one. Every time I exhale, I count down a number). After that, I focused on my breathing for fifteen minutes. Afterwards, I felt better than I usually do after my meditation sessions. I think I made some progress.

10th Day:
I flew back from Arizona today. Since I lost three hours, I was up until 2am. Since I was so full of energy, I had an easy meditation session. I meditated for about fifteen minutes.

11th Day:
I was up until midnight tonight. I was a little bit tired, though, and only meditated for five minutes.

12th Day:

I finally went to bed at a normal time. :) I meditated for only five minutes before going to sleep, though.
