University is starting up soon, meaning the assignments, individual and group projects, lab reports, journal entries, studying and pre-reading and of course, classes are starting up again.
Last year, I was able to at least get everything done before it was due, but I really struggled with my ADHD to focus on studying and reading, and forcing myself to finish things. It was so fustrating, knowing due dates were coming and I hadn’t done anything yet. I hated missing events, visiting my friends, grocery shopping, putting off meals, etc.
This year, I’m going to try to stay on top of things by studying in groups, teaching my friends (I learn by doing this), keeping a calendar on my wall, and trying to get stuff done 2 days a head of time.
I guess I just have to force myself to do what I don’t want to do, in order to do what I want to do! :)
