Well if he shoves you every single day then why not look around before you go down the stairs? That or just keep to one side then suddenly switch over to the other side. If you hear footsteps behind you then step to one side and if it is that guy then most likely he’ll lose his balance and fall down the stairs. If he doesn’t but still looks off balance, then just push him gently but with some force. You’re just helping him test a science theory, or that’s an excuse you can use.

don’t use the stairs, go around them. Or go down them when he is not there. Personally i would say it to somebody and as a proof, well a black eye would do .-. (not saying you will have one but if that’s a possibility, then it’s your best weapon).
Or to make him feel guilty, next time you cannot avoid being pushed down, reamin still, like if you were dead. Maybe he will have some rethinks and will stop.
If it continues though, tell everyone or go down the stairs with somebody else not alone!
