learn to speak Irish Gaelic
or even understand some

And I mean more than knowing what pogue mahone means. At one time I could speak French fluently – at least conversationally and I could get by on emy own traveling in Italy, but I would like to be better at both & would love to know some Irish.

Have you seen and listened to the BBC North Ireland “Slan” series on learning Irish Gaelic?

Can't locate "Slan"

Sounds good. Do you have any additional info on “Slan”? I could not locate any info on it.

If at first you don’t succeed, try an effective search engine.

Thanks!

I’m going to check it out.

...you should try to find classes—learning on your own can be frustrating sometimes. If you have trouble finding a class in your area, contact eolas@gaeilge.org, as Cionaodh may be able to find one for you.

I took a class while I was in Ireland for the year and it was a lot of fun. It’s kind of hard to find people to speak to, but fun nonetheless. I’m not fluent but I can have a conversation. Defnitely worth doing!! = )
