go to a NASCAR Race
Been to every track! Well worth it. 3 years ago

I attended my very first race in Bristol wayyyyyyyyyyyy back when it was the ONLY night race and all the tracks and drivers were Southern. There was no California or New York tracks back then, no Northern tracks period. Nascar was started in the South by Southerners and thats the way it will always be remembered by the veteran fans. I remember when Dale Earnhardt, Sr was Rookie of the Year BEFORE he was ever married to Theresa. My first Nascar autographs were Buddy Baker, Harry Gant, and Richard Petty.

I have attended races at every single one of the tracks. Chicagoland Speedway, Daytona, and Bristol will forever be my favorites.

True Fans Cannot Be Alienated, lol

Hi Neenay, no alienation intended by my post honestly. Its just that its changed a lot since the beginning. Used to be you could actually get up close and personal with the drivers without all the security.

Its also gone so commercial that many good drivers will never see a track due to lack of money these days.

No need to apologize about Veteran Fans or Southern fans, I am not in the South anymore. Nascar is like everything else, it had to start somewhere and somebody had to be a veteran of the sport, lol.

Although, I do wish fans today could have been around back then and could truly understand why it seems so different now.

Again, my post was not intended to offend and I thank you for the congrats. I too hope you get a chance to see all the tracks someday, its a great experience for every fan. :-)
