I used to have tons of penpals, but now I only write to one of my best friends. I want a “normal” penpal. People use e-mails too much.

I’ve actually only gotten one letter, and I was about to mark this as done yesterday, but I figured that I had to answer the letter at least before doing so.

I too like the idea of old fashioned way but I am afraid It makes things slow. How about a mixture of both things. Sending email and mails according to situation and need.

No, cause that would eventually turn out to be just e-mailing.. I know this cause people are too lazy.
If you become so particular about mails it becomes difficult for me to proceed further in this penpal-ship thing.
My basic interest in pen friends is to improve my foriegn languages vocab/fluency I thought I could exchange some messages with ya in French …
There are many occassions for sending greeting cards and stuff that time we surely have to send a paper mail.
That’s just my suggestion, you can ignore that too.
I didn’t mean to be rude or anything, but the whole point for me with the pen pal thing was to be pen pals, cause I have enough people that I write emails to =)

is too avoid the convienece of email. It’s the concept of actually getting a letter, written by hand, in the MAIL (you know, with a stamp??). If you want to improve your foreign languge ability, I’m sure there are plenty of places for you to practice.

Omg. This may sound very needy but i got so excited when i read your goal about have a penpal. I used to write to all my friends when i moved but like you, all my friends have got attached onto the internet and i hate it!
