Mary Geraldine is freaking out
About a week ago, I started a mission called Project Lemon-Aid NC. I believe that this will help me with my goal of being a happier, more positive person. I just started a facebook page for the cause and hope to launch a website shortly and host monthly events.

Lemonspirational. Because sometimes life gives you lemons, we give you the sugar to make lemonade.
Project Lemon-Aid NC is an ongoing community art/social project that aims to connect strangers into a kinship that they would not assume otherwise.
The concept revolves around the old saying “When life gives you lemons, make lemonade.” The people involved in this project, or “lemon-aides”, serve as the physical representation of said “life” and the action which they perform is to literally give
lemons to strangers. The twist on this idea, however, is the fact that every lemon gifted has an inspirational saying attached to it. These quotes act as a literal way to show that no matter what happens in life, there is something good to come from it. One can not make lemonade without sugar, and our words are meant to serve as the sweetness within the proverbial lemonade.
The overall goal of Project Lemon-Aid NC is to brighten the day of another human being without seeking personal gain in exchange. To touch a stranger in a tangible and intimate way while still remaining light hearted and humorous. Each of the employed sayings are personally chosen and hand written by one of the lemon-aides and represent internal struggles which they have faced in their own life.
The original goal of Project Lemon-Aid NC was to make at least one person smile. Within minutes, we not only met but surpassed our goal and have no plans to stop any time soon.
