So often we get caught up in the “me’s” and the “I wants” ...If more people thought less about themselves and what they want, and more about the people around them, and how they could help them out…..you could make someones day with something as little as a phone call!

In my spiritual community we have done an exercise
Where we find something really precious to us, and give it away unconditionaly to someone else. It’s such a crazy rush, to take something you love and value, and let go of that hoarding instinct and give it away.
Once I gave away my digital camera, and other times it’s been things with more sentimental (and less financial) value, like art I made and loved.
Funny, I found it much easier to give away huge precious gifts and much harder to accept them from others.
