I was 17 when I looked up my dad. I knew his name, and I had met him one time when I was in elementary school, but that was all I knew about him. I ran away to california to meet him. I was there for a year, and there were some great things that came out of the experience. However, I meeting my dad and forming a relationship with my dad didn’t happen the way I wanted. Its been two years since I first contacted him, and a year since I’ve seen him. I haven’t talked to him since I left California and I would be really, really shocked if I ever do talk to him again.
