When we bought our condo we were also terrified! What if house prices dropped dramatically, what if one of us lost our job.

But what we did was look for ways that our home could make money should the worse happen. For example, our mortgage payment is about the amount it would cost to rent our home out to someone so even if we lost a little bit—we could rent somewhere far cheaper and keep our house until we found our feet.

You can also see (for fun) about having an exchange student live with you or renting out a room or your basement or garage to someone. It might help aleviate some of the worry.

But in the end, I’m sure everything will work out just fine! Congrats on your new house—another goal checked off :)
