stop picking my skin (read all 76 entries…)
starting over again

So tomorrow I’m starting back from day 1. I can’t seem to go more than 4 days without picking. I have a lot of stress and anxiety I’m currently working on but it’s going to take a longgg time until that’s over with. I guess I don’t know how else to let go of tention without picking. Any advice?

I find working out regularly helps me de-stress a LOT. Other than that, I’m having the biggest success with just completely avoiding mirrors and trying to keep my hands off my skin (that’s the hard part). In the early stages of working on this when I picked all the time without even realizing it, it was really helpful for me to have something small I could carry with me and do with my hands pretty much all the time, like a worry stone, or making knot bracelets or something like that.

thanks guys, i think i’ll try exercising lol. i’ve been trying to avoid mirrors and not look so closly into them but ah it’s hard
