e-mailed 2 artists on facebook sunday for a price. 48 hours later, no answer other than an acknowledgement from one. Might message a 3rd guy tomorrow.

Sarah Kay trying to get back on track...
is it your first tat?
It’s hard for them to give you a price without seeing a pic or drawing it first and knowing the location (some areas of the body are harder to tattoo). You’ll have much better luck getting a price if you go directly in the shop and ask or discuss. If you have a picture, they might also want to make suggestions, if it’s too busy or detailed, they may suggest making the design larger, or leaving out some details. That will effect the price too. Tattoos that take longer, cost more. Sorry if this sounds like a lecture, just some little things I wish someone had told me, but I had to figure them out myself, lol.
It is my first. I’ve spoken to one artist in person. It’s an original design that kind of blends two images, which I e-mailed them. The other guy doesn’t work out of a shop either & I don’t have his #. I can’t have continued contact to talk in person unless he replies to my message or calls me. I imagine they give a ballpark estimate based on location & design. I don’t rly want them to waste their time on a drawing if their top of the head figure is way out of my budget. Thanks for the feedback.
