Must celebrate the small victories.
I just sent an “important” email to a future supervisor introducing myself, including questions, without much fuss. It didn’t take over 20 minutes to write/check over/feel good about.
I used to agonize and stress over sending even emails, which is supposed to be an “easier” method of communication instead of face-to-face (so imagine what face-to-face is like).
I used to reread the communication excessively and freak out over little details and so on and so forth. I don’t even want to dwell on describing that because it felt awful.
So small victory. Appropriate amount of thought and effort put into an email timely sent :) yay me, if I don’t mind saying so myself.
