We heard from a friend that she was going to sell her house next month, and since our house is on the market now, we decided to go over and look at her house with an eye towards a private sale. I had been in her house before, and it seemed very nice, so I was feeling pretty positive about going through it. Well, long story short, when you look at a house with a friend’s eye it is WAY different than looking at it with a buyer’s eye. I went through the house and decided I wouldn’t be able to like living there. It didn’t “speak” to me; I couldn’t see my furniture in it; the “flow” was wrong. Oh well. But I did at least see what I DON’T want!!
