go to an indian reservation
What a breather! 4 years ago

I spent a summer on the White Mountain Apache Reservation in Arizona, working for a mission organization. Even though it was the year of the big Rodeo-Chedeski fire and we were almost evacuated since it was so close, it was an amazing experience. What touched me most was how different their way of life is. The people are so much more focused on relationships – time has no value in and of itself. It’s so much more important just to sit with someone and listen. It’s a very relaxing way to live life. The sights are amazing as well, with the mountains and untouched wilderness areas.
