Be driven away in an ambulance

My baby nearly died after my partner accidentally dropped him down the stairs. The journey in the ambulance, seeing him with a completely deformed head, unconscious and barely able to breathe, will stay with me for the rest of my life.

You must have been terrified…watching them hurt hurts more than being hurt yourself doesn’t it. {{{hugs}}} Talk about a big beginning in Mommy-world!

Anji is cleaning.

Yeah, we spent a fair amount of time in Paediatric Intensive Care and were told he wouldn’t make it… Now he’s six months old and mentally seems to be fine. He’s been affected physically a little though. :o(

What an ordeal...

Good to hear he’s doing good. At risk of downplaying the situation, at least he’s so little that it gives him lots of time to work on overcoming any problems he does have. Babies are resilient…he’s already surprised everyone this far!
