start playing the piano again

Well, I havn’t played in seven years and I need to start again, but its so hard to even sit down at one. I had a bad experiance, a real bad experiance, and so I quit. I was best in class four years in a row, and now it seems that it was all for squat. I would like to start again, does anyone have any advice?

Just try...

Do you have access to a piano? If you do,I would just try on your own to see if it still holds your fancy and imagination. See where you are and then take it from there.

If you need instruction look for a very supportive tutor, someone who will take their cue from you.

Sorry your experience in the past drove you from it. Maybe you can empower yourself now by reclaiming it.
