Two days ago the US Supreme Court ruled that federal rackteering and extortion laws could not be used against abortion protesters. This move was actually supported by some pro-choice advocates in order to protect the rights of demonstrators in general.

That state and federal clinic access laws still protect women and medical facilities. However, they can’t use the racketeering law to go after the assets of protestors for fines and in civil suits.
It was a disppointing ruling, but I don’t want people to think that their access can be blocked to a clinic. It is still illegal.
