Last night I was finally able to start running again after a week of being sick and then recovering. I new that I probalby wouldn’t be quite up to where I was before and decided to try something different. Instead of running multiple sets of small runs I went for it to see what I could do. I ended up going for 6 1/2 minutes and although that wasn’t ideal, not too bad after being sick.

This is a great website
for running, especially if you haven’t done it in awhile. I hadn’t run in over 14 years and my parents recommended www.coolrunning.com
They have a program called, “From Couch Potato to 5K in 9 Weeks.” I did it in 8 weeks. I don’t know if you’re interested or not, but it really helped me organize my workouts. Good luck and happy trails!
a work in progress needs to either let 43 things go or get back into it
My Sister
Joined the “Running Room” who teach running clinics and she absolutely loves their clinics/programs and I can’t tell you how much she talks to me about “running”. She is pretty passionate about it, and I am behind her 100%, although sometimes my eyes start to glaze over listening to her ;)
Although I only “paritially” listen to her stories I know they recommend a combination of running/walking (for beginners I believe).
Perhaps, someday, this will be me. I admire the will power and determination it takes when I have a hard time finding the time and energy to get any “real” exercize.
I applaud you all!
