I went to Brekke School today as a guest reader for the Dr. Seuss celebration of Read Across America. I read in four different classrooms: a kindergarten class, a fifth grade class, a sixth grade class, and a second grade class. The school provided books for me to read (I had also brought my own), and a student at the school accompanied me to each classroom. It was so much fun. The kindergarten and second grade classes were the most fun to read to, and today was one small step in accomplishing my goal to do more community service.
