plant a garden (read all 39 entries…)
I have made a seed tray...

...with 13 plastic coffee cups in a plastic balcony flower box. The balcony box is too deep for the cups, so I broke some red bricks with a hammer outside in the snowy garden. Then, I put them on the bottom of the box and covered them with a layer of flower compost. Then I placed the 13 plastic cups in there, after burning drainage holes into their bottoms with a hot needle. The cups were filled with compost, then I sowed the seeds I collected in our garden and two kinds I got from mom last year. 13 kinds of seeds, I am sure some of them will spring to life and do their thing! And since it’s still snowing here, I have something “springy” in my house. I am so excited!
