My end goal after going back for engineering is to attempt to do something useful, and solar power is going to be a huge thing over the next fifty years, he says with little besides supposition to go on.

good luck man. from what i understand of it, harvesting energy from the sun is INCREDIBLY hard to do with any sort of efficiency. if this is a serious goal of yours, try EE instead of CSE.
