learn to be comfortable in my own "skin"-like me for ME. (read all 3 entries…)
I will never be a size 5 3 years ago

But thats no reason to give up on being healthy. So, even if I ma asize 12 or a 14 that shouldnt mean that I am not worthy of loving who I am. What am I teaching my daughters if I am not happy within my own skin. Belittling myself when I can’t find a pair of jeans that fit “right”. There was a time in history when women were revered for being voluptuous and full figured—now we are fat because we don’t look like a Lindsey Lohan or a Nicole Ritchie…like me for me.

thank you!

Its hard to be a role model to your own children when the media is telling them “Look THIS way!”. I wanna live where I would be considered “Hot!”, lol…
Thanks—-you have helped me to realize that I am going to be happy with the skin I am in. Namaste friend!

Half Pinay - I see mangos!!! is re-organizing her life!

Take this in.

Society has us thinking that being skinny is in. Why? When the average women is a size 14. Yes that’s right.

You can be a good role model by not really pointing out your weight that you don’t like but really saying that you don’t like the fact you don’t eat healthy. That eating healthy and going to the gym is healthy.

I sometimes get hard on myself about my weight because i yo yo. It’s so bad i got every size in my closet that i once was.

But i found my solution. Try to eat healthy, I mean it doesn’t happen over night and just got to the gym 3 times or more a week. Don’t ever weigh yourself. I find that when i do that i get disappointed if i haven’t lost anything.

I am sure you are a great mommy so keep that in mind too!

I am finding so much beauty

In all the women I have met with my posts. Sometimes you just wonder how much of an influence you have on your kids versus their peers and society. I am learning to LOVE who I am and like you, I have just about every size in my closet. I yo-yo as well. I just love hearing other women say “I am a size 12-14-16 and I am healthy and HAPPY!”
Thanks for reminding me of what I should already know, but seem to have forgotten. Pre-teen girls make it easy for me to forget—especially when they scream about “watching their weight” or “so an so said I had a big butt”. Now I have solid reasoning to stand on when I talk with her! Thank you. Namaste!!!
