My birthday is next month and I was searching for an opera to go to—I thought about going to La bohème since it was showing on my actual birthday, but that would require three trains, two taxis, and a subway trip. Then today I saw a poster for Cecilia Bartoli and she’s performing right here in Glasgow. Her album was the very first “opera” album that I bought, so its only fitting she be the first opera performance that I attend. Even though the concert isn’t until May 21st, I am SO stoked!
