One of the things I discovered while making out my Personal Mission Statement this year is that I haven’t been specific enough about my writing goals to make them effective. In this manner, I’ve been able to skate by on vagueness. For instance, I have made the goal of getting at least one of my numerous works published.
Ahem.
Could I be any more vague?
So…the discovery I made is that by not being specific in my own mind about my goals, I am setting myself up to effectively be ineffective in reaching said goals. Therefore, I must buckle down and set up a strategy on what exactly I mean by “getting published.” And by that I mean down to the last nitty-gritty detail.
