There are two options for me here
I can ‘CHEER’ your entry or Respond. Are you doing anything at all….are you talking to anyone like a friend or relative? are you able to focus on anything so that you could read something? You have to talk to someone and get some feedback and some encouragement.
I read your post about sleep
not sleeping can contribute to depression. Even if you dont want to you should take something so you can sleep. That might be a good starting point.
idk… there is no point in talking to anyone .. i spoke to the school psychologist .. was useless .. i don’t have the best medical care at this point so i cant talk to anyone .. as far as friends .. ehhh i think i drove everyone way w/ my psycho bipolar mentality in the past 5/6 years .. i want nothing from life soo college is not going every well .. its just sad cause i am smart .. if only i cared enough … i feel bad for my parents .. they think im doing good .. im just a disappointment to them .. at least w/ me i don’t care but they care about me and i feel guilty …....im soo confused … life is soo blah and its not like its recent situation .. i been like this .. i probly will be like this forever … thank u though .. for ur comment .. i probly feel better tomm … it was soo nice outside today hopefully it will stay the same ... idk .. ehhhhhhh
How about some bibliotherapy?
Reading through some of your goals and entries, it seems pretty clear you suffer from depression. Have you read much about this disease? I’ve found educating myself about it has been a pretty interesting experience. I’ve learned alot about various topics from neurobiology, to psychology, to communication. It has also helped me understand myself and folks around me better.
I can recommend a few good books to get you started to learning more about it. I think Richard O’Connor’s book Undoing Depression is pretty interesting and I also really learned a lot from Peter Kramer’s Against Depression. Now you said in the comment above you are smart, so I’m not recommending dumbed down books here. Both of these are memoirs that address depression by psychiatrists/psychologists who are leaders in their fields. There are also a number of books that are useful as more practical handbooks. These tend to be more cognitive behavioral approaches to depression. The best one I’ve seen is The Feeling Good Handbook by David Burns.
You mention bipolar behavior in your comment above. From what I’ve read, folks who suffer from bipolar conditions benefit from medication. This isn’t a situation people easily “think their way out of”. You very well may need to treat the disease’s effects medically so that you can start thinking more clearly.
Good luck. Show us you are smart by taking care of yourself! You need to start challenging these ideas that you don’t care about yourself. Call your doctor or call a community health clinic or school nurse if you don’t have a doctor. Doing something to improve your condition would be a great way to show some self concern.

I’m responding to a five year old post.
Are you there?
How are you doing?
Did you try seeing a doctor? If so what happened?
Josh has good advice here. I’m familiar with a couple of the books he mentions and I agree they are good.
Hang in there.
that why theres drugs and alcohol.
hahaha .. thats the only thing that seems to be workin at this point …
no disrespect to anyone else …
jackhg is reading a book called, WIKINOMICS'
go volunteer- at any place that’s close to you, the closer the better,
Christmas day, go to a shelter, serve food, hand out stuff, anything, help others- while your volunteering- your spirits will be lifted, start a very simple hobby, using scraps of stuff, this is gonna sound funny, read sales books, sales books are very uplifting, well, to me anyway, after all, we are selling our selves. Exercise, pushups, situps, eat healthy foods,
From your writings, your very descriptive with words, way cool, maybe start writing children’ s stories, the first story could be about sad Tommy, some of Tommie’s problems, then one day Tommy helps a puppy get back to his owner, the owner helps Tommy buy a new bike, Tommy rides his bike with new friends, etc, I’ll bet your good at drawing, then you could illustrate your book(s), simple line drawings.. you might not sell any books, but you sound creative, this story idea may be a way for you to channel the way you feel.
In spite of it all-have a nice Holiday season..
