gain weight
bring it on..please!

i’m healthy and happy and have always ate normally (apart from bad habit of skipping breakfast now and then) but i have had a few comments in the past which include the word anorexia which drive me nuts… i mean, maybe people should think it hurts just as much to be told your skinny & boney as it does to be told you’re fat! So- i guess i just have to put in the hard work. lots of food lots of weights. But what’s the ideal foods? Thats not going to clog my arteries?? Hmmm.

Gain muscle, not fat

Don’t just start eating more food. I would rather look skinny than fat. In general, weight lifting will add more volume to your body size. It is harder for a woman, but I think weight lifting 2 or three times a week, getting plenty of good protein, and DO NOT SKIP BREAKFAST! will make a difference.

Be sure to get plenty of calcium also. Just eat smartly! Just do not go and eat a bunch of food. I don’t think I have ever seen anybody look good that overeats.

Good luck and I will be praying for you.

ideal food...

if you actually want fat not lean muscle to gain weight then you should eat a lot of simple carbs (i.e. sugar). I don’t think it’s recommendable, tho… Worth talking to your doctor about, probably.

If you haven’t tried eating above your daily caloric requirements, I’d try that first. If you feel like you’ve hit a wall in terms of gaining weight I’ve found it effective to change things up a bit to give my body a bit of a shock (i.e. all of a sudden eat below my daily calorie intake for a couple days, etc..)

I’m sure you can do it!

also, you have to remember that people are jealous. most anyone… dare i say anyone… with an overweight problem would change places with you in a minute. making you feel bad about your body maybe makes them feel better about themselves. i’m not over- or under-weight, but if i had to choose a struggle, i’d much rather be underweight. just make sure you’re eating enough and take a vitamin.

Add muscle not fat

I am not sure what your physical excercise regiem is but lifting weights is an excellent way to put on extra bulk. I saw a program once about a really skinny lady who worked out and added quite a bit of weight. Don’t put on unhealthy weight.
