Isn't it
funny the phrases you remember?! The two that have stuck from my school days of learning Italian are ‘dove il gabineto? where is the toilet? and mi dispiace ma non o copito I’m sorry I have not understood. I figure even if I don’t learn much more before my trip, I should be able to survive most social situations!!
I’ll be sure to write down your phrase too – it might come in handy.

But
I think this is the best place to live a good life. It’s a good thing to visit, and stay for some years in other countries but at last you have to return because it’s a great place to live in and have family. So I really hope you will come back home!

Penso che questo sia il posto migliore per vivere una buona vita. E’ giusto visitare, e stare per qualche anno in altri Paesi ma alla fine bisogna ritornare perchè è un gran bel posto in cui vivere e fare una famiglia. Quindi spero davvero che tu torni a casa presto!
