Was a true test of “being comfortable in my own skin”. Here were fit and fabulous young women who obviously dont bare the stretch marks of pregnancy, the scars of c-sections, accidents, surgeries, the extra pounds from being nearly 40 or less than perky breasts from years of breastfeeding.
It was hard using the communal sauna---I need to lessen my worries. We’re all built the same….........right?
sigh

I can relate to...
The stretch marks of pregnancy and breastfeeding, but those things can’t change. There is always someone slimmer and perkier, there is also someone bigger with more work to do than you. It’s better to compare yourself now, with yourself then. You can’t really compete with other women along those lines. They have different metabolisms, diets, time spent at the gym, and genes. Do go easy on yourself. Just being at the gym says you’ve changed your mind about your physical fitness.
I have since began looking at everyone in my “world” with your eyes and now I see that my challenges arent all that great as I see some people facing bigger obstacles than I am. Yeah, there are heavier people, people confined to wheelchairs and most recently cnacer patients who have lost their hair but never their spirit.
I am going to look at life as the glass being half FULL from now on. Thanks for sharing.
Namaste.

Believe me when I say...
I need as much encouragement as I dish out. It’s vital to focus on the positive because the alternative sucks. Besides, life is truly sweet- it really is.
