I struggle to say I love you unless I am utterly convinced I mean it.

I had a particularly tough time with my daughter, being unable to tell her I loved her at the height of my post natal depression. I plainly remember bursting into tears when sitting with my husband and daughter and him saying “Daddy loves you, does Mummy love you?” in all innocence and all I could say was I answer that.
