The land’s end bathing suit catalog arrived.

I think it’s a bad idea to buy a swimsuit you haven’t tried on. But it doesn’t stop me from perusing and wondering how to find a swimsuit that will cover my least favorite body part without going through a time warp to the 1880s. Or, alternately, I could buy a little skirted swimsuit that puts about 30 years on me. If I combined a skirted swimsuit with a bikini top, can I average the two appropriate ages? Maybe a tankhini. Chasing a toddler means thinking practically, right?

Or another alternate would be sticking to the darn weight watcher’s plan and getting to the bottom (rather than the top) of my appropriate weight/height range. That might help with the damn bathing suit issue.

You are an amazon goddess and as you get more comfortable with your weight loss you’ll want to be out playing on the beach with your kids. And sooner or later you’ll get sick of wearing shorts.

And from your entries it sounds like you’re getting close to that point.

Yea, err...No...

...I’m just not a swimsuit person. Never was. And there’s something about bikinis that irk me…especially when worn by pre-pubescent girls. I’m strange, I know.

...that they are ludicrously expensive. It defies rational thought, IMO. Well, at least my rational thought (but that’s not saying much) :-)
