I have a nice, clean house and no nasty chemicals around my family. Baking soda and vinegar are fantastic. They clean everything—tubs, toilets, countertops, even my hair. For tubs and toilets, just rinse and sprinkle a liberal amount of baking soda, then pour vinegar over it and it will clean itself with the bubbles. For showering, I use a mixture of baking soda, warm water, and a bit of honey to scrub and wash my hair; and a mixture of apple cidar vinegar and warm water to rinse.
I have a steam mop to clean the kitchen floor, and the rest of the house just gets a broom. For windows, plain club soda works just fine.
Watch out for soaps, lotions, and shampoos, too: most of those have nasty toxic chemicals in them too. Hope this helps!
