be less crabby (read all 4 entries…)
Cranky Momma 4 years ago

I was raised in a house with a very cranky father. This is no excuse, but it is how I have learned to relate to other people. It is the role model I had for parenting.

I find I am overly cranky for no reason. I could blame being too tired, but even when I get enough sleep I am cranky.

My real goals are: to be a better Mother, to be a better Wife, and to be a better Friend. But, those seem to vague to put on the list. Besides, we are always growing in those capacities. They would never been checked off.

when I am..

crabby, I have to check several things…which by the way, I’d rather pull teeth than “check those things”.

1-am I hungry?
2-how tired am I?
3-am I pre-menstrual?

It’s usually one of the 3…So, if I can correct any of them, I’m in better shape.

OTHERWISE WATCH OUT!!!!!

Thanks for these hints

I do get cranky when I don’t eat. Often, if I am being crabby, my husband will offer food or suggest a nap.

I will say that I don’t get crabby pre-menstrual, I get extreme fatigue and a day or so of feeling very poorly about myself and feeling unloved. I don’t usually take it out as crankiness.

Unfortunately, I am living a high stress life right now and minimizing the stress is not really a possibility. How I respond to the stress will definitely help my cranky levels.
