find reasons to say Yes
Our First Play Party! 3 years ago

I must say, the first Reasons to Say Yes play party was a
smashing success! We didn’t sell out, but the feedback from attendees has been nothing but positive and supportive and everyone is looking forward to the next event.

Unfortunately, there always seems to be some kind of fly in the ointment. And this one I’ve come to label The Puppet Master. It stands to reason, I suppose. Start living a Yes lifestyle and somebody will come along and try to get you to rejoin them in their no! lifestyle. No lifestyles are the standard operating mode of the modern world, after all.

What is really sad is that Puppet Masters aren’t content to simply try to try and pressure you into living according to their rules. They’re out to destroy or control everything that threatens their existence.

And that’s exactly what happened after the party. The local Puppet Master tried very hard to blow Reason To Say Yes, and me, and everyone involved in Reasons To Say Yes out of the water.

I find it sad. I find it disappointing. And the personal attacks on my character have hurt. In fact, they’ve made me reassess my definition of friends. Or more accurately stated: I am reassessing my definition of what a friend is.

It seems an important question: Would a true friend stand by and what your character be assassinated when they know, without doubt, that it’s all a fiction designed to do naught but destroy your character?

In this day and age, I find it an interesting question. The links above take you to my more in depth thoughts on both issues.
