open a bilingual bookshop café for poets and philosophers to meet (read all 27 entries…)

100 cheers. I was wondering just now if one day I’d see this come up on someone’s list of “other people’s impossible goals” (i read those avidly!) and then I saw the 100 number.

Wow.

That means one hundred people that I don’t know clicked on it cos they thought – well they thought whatever that thing is that goes through your head when you hit the cheer button.

Oh I so want to do this. I will do this. And it’s lovely to be cheered on to do this. For so little actual effort so far. When it’s going badly I shall just remember it was like nine months or something for a hundred people across the world took the time to click on the idea.

So if I don’t sell 100 books in nine months in a backwater i’ll at least have sense of scale. And meet some interesting people in the process.

Go Me.

cheeeeeeeeeeeer!

go you laweeez!! :D

you’ve got to do it
i want to visit it… i make a lovely cuppa :)

yes

go you!!

GO YOU!!!!

Yeah! that feels good!

c’mon everyone say it with me!

Go Laweeez!!

aw

that’s so nice. I’ve been feeling rather guilty at having warranted such big letters though, cos it’s probably still 20 years away.

But if (no, damn it, when) I do I shall print out all the good vibes from 43 and paste them on the floor of my bookshop and cover them in thick varnish. I would say walls, but the walls will be whiteboard and blackboard for writing on.

Hmm. Having decorative bookshop ideas here. Go me again.

that

all sounds delish!!

love the ideas!! and the more you create this place in your head the more it will come alive! write these ideas down in a special notebook just for your cafe! it will make the dream that much closer to fruition :D

do you know

You’re so right. I broke my golden ‘only one notebook at a time’ rule the other day just for this. (it has a lovely cover now, but it’s very empty – new notebook phobia set in)

I think even if I die before I actually make it happen I’ll have fun writing about how I’m going to do it if nothing else. Which can’t be bad :)

A lot less risky too!

decorate

the cover first! that way it won’t be ‘new’ anymore and the cover will be a statement that says ‘this is my bilingual cafe notebook!’

this is an awesome idea!

You can do it when it feels right.

yeah

long way to go, though.

Everything always feels right, it’s just the doing part that trips me up.

Sometimes I get this urge to just be a grey haired old granny right now so all the inbetween bits are done and I’m living the life I spend all my time trying to get.

Well, while I’m waiting, at least I’m finding virtual poets and philosophers and a load of funny, good people on 43t.

Which gives me bags of time.

Haha, I am so the procrastinator!

the journey ...

isn’t always easy or as one plans, but we have to do it, so i guess we need to try and enjoy it.

i’m learning …

someone here mentioned constructive procrastination. we can justify part of the silliness we encounter during our freetime.

:D

laweeez has gotten 6 cheers on this entry.
