what i've heard is...

... that it’s easiest if you’ve got European lineage, say, perhaps a Spanish grandfather. If you’ve got his birth certificate which indicates that he’s a Spanish citizen, then it could easily be arranged that you get Spanish citizenship as well. I’m not sure, but I think it’s the same for Italians. Another way is to go there, get a job, and after a couple of years get your papers changed.

The other easiest way to go about it is to get hitched to someone with an EU citizenship already. ;) I’m not sure if that’s completely advisable, though… hehe. :D

i tried it

well. I have spanish and italian in my family and none of that works. About the spanish, is the grandfather of my father, who already died (the grandfather) so that does not work. About the italian, is throught my grandmother and the problem about her giving me the citizenship is that it goes only throught men before 1948…
Maybe i can do the thing about the job some day… I really love some things from Spain :-)

mm...

I think the Spanish side is workable, although it’s going to be a somewhat lengthy process. And it’s going to be your dad who’s going to have to get the citizenship first. You just need your grandfather’s Spanish birth certificate, and have your dad get a Spanish citizenship for himself. Once that’s done, you can get your papers fixed. :)

Lineage helps

My daughter when and got Irish or EU citizenship because my parents are both from Ireland. She passed me the instructions for doing so a few years ago so I’d need to go find them. Basically she asked my mom for birth records and it all worked out.

Study

Get a degree in something useful, then get some work experience in that field, then apply for residence in the European country of your choice.

i would concentrate on the jobs/skills

Increase your marketability so to speak (I hope that word doesn’t offend your anti-capitalist sensibilites, but I’m trying to help you get to Europe) by getting degrees or certifications in high demand jobs, such as certain computer programming, IT jobs, medical, whatever interests you AND is in high demand in the places to which you want to go.

Now everyone almost, wants to learn English. And if you know Spanish, well there are many who want to learn Spanish, in non-Spanish speaking countries.

We’re moving toward the same EU goal, and starting to sell of things to prepare for the move.

We decided we’re not going to wait until we have that perfect job skill set. I’ll teach English, Spanish, and French, while working whatever will pay the bills. My wife will continue to care for the children and her sales job from our house, out of the car boot (trunk), and through the net.

This we intend, and as God wills, ojala’
