I’ve taken two classes, and will be taking Turkish 3 in the fall. I need to impove my vocabulary and start to speak in Turkish to my Turkish friends, rather than defaulting to English.
Comments:
Where do you take your Turkish classes?
At U of Pitt. They’re undergrad courses, but I’m taking them as a post-baccalaureate student…. They’re offered through the less-commonly-taught language center:

They should offer Turkish 1 again this fall. The teacher is ok.
I have flex hours at work, so I just make up the time that I use for class.
The Pittsburgh Turkish American Association also has a Saturday class at noon:

I haven’t been to these yet, but I know they’re looking for more people.
Hope this helps!
Maybe a tip: there is this site for ppl who want to improve Turkish (primary goal). http://www.kardelen.nl/forum You can only speak Turkish there, but as it is a place where ppl from europe, turkey, and other countries, come togethere for this common goal, you don’t need to worry for mistakes. In fact, experts in the Turkish language correct and assist you…
